Job summary

Health Dimensions Group is hiring an Assistant Executive Director to support the Executive Director at Northern Nevada State Veterans Home in Sparks, NV. The role focuses on leading community operations for a 96-bed facility, ensuring quality care and regulatory compliance.

Ideal candidates have a Nursing or Healthcare Administration background with SNF leadership experience, strong communication, and a collaborative, results‑driven approach to improving resident and staff outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or Healthcare Administration is required.
• Minimum of two (2) years of experience within a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) setting is required.
• Strong leadership or supervisory experience is preferred.
• Experience with project planning, development, and implementation is preferred.
• Knowledge of state, federal, and local regulations in skilled nursing and long-term care.
• Computer proficiency and comfort with business systems.

Responsibilities

• Partner with the Executive Director to plan, develop, and implement operational strategies that support resident care and community performance.
• Oversee day-to-day operations of a 96-bed veterans home and ensure quality care, regulatory compliance, and strong outcomes.
• Provide leadership in the absence of the Executive Director and support the Leadership Team across the community.
• Lead and mentor department leaders and foster collaboration across departments.
• Build relationships with residents, families, team members, and community partners and conduct regular rounds to identify improvement opportunities.
