Job summary

Cogir Senior Living in Matthews, NC is seeking a Kitchen Utility Associate (Dishwasher) to support the culinary team with clean pots and dishware for residents.

You will maintain a clean dishwashing area, assist during meal service, and ensure sanitation standards. Flexible shifts including weekends and holidays are available; a high school diploma is preferred and a Food Handler Card is a plus.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred but not required.
• A Food Handler Card with an understanding of kitchen sanitation and food codes is a plus.
• 6–12 months of dishwasher or kitchen support experience is a plus but not required.
• Experience in senior living, healthcare, or hospitality settings is highly desirable.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
• Stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds; flexible shifts including weekends/holidays.

Responsibilities

• Wash and sanitize dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment.
• Ensure cleaned items are dried and stored in designated areas.
• Maintain cleanliness of the dishwashing area, including floors.
• Remove trash, recycling, and food waste to keep the kitchen organized.
• Clean mats and garbage pails.
• Clean and sanitize food prep surfaces and storage areas.
• Support the kitchen staff during meal preparation by replenishing supplies.
