Job summary

Cogir Senior Living is hiring a Kitchen Utility Associate (Dishwasher) at our Wilmington, NC community. You will ensure clean pots and dishware for our culinary team and help deliver meals to residents, contributing to a positive dining experience.

Ideal candidates may have 6–12 months in a dishwasher role, a Food Handler Card is a plus, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail and teamwork. Flexible shifts, weekends, and holidays may be required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred but not required.
• Food Handler Card is a plus and helpful for sanitation.
• Experience in dishwasher or kitchen support is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Wash and sanitize dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment per protocol.
• Dry and store cleaned items in designated areas.
• Maintain cleanliness of the dishwashing area (sweeping/mopping).
• Remove trash, recycling and food waste regularly.
• Clean mats and garbage pails; sanitize work surfaces as needed.
• Support kitchen staff by replenishing supplies and equipment.
• Ensure chemicals and towels are stocked for sanitary operation.
