Sunshine Retirement Living is seeking a hands‑on Supervisor: Executive Chef or Management Team to assist in managing the kitchen, prepare nutritious meals, and ensure smooth, safe operation. You will work with residents and staff to uphold menus, presentation, and portions while maintaining high standards.

You should have culinary training and experience in institutional or full‑service settings, strong communication, and teamwork skills, plus a focus on safety and resident satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age.
• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Culinary Arts Degree or equivalent preferred.
• Two years of institutional or full‑service restaurant cooking experience.
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
• Ability to read and prepare recipes in detail.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Proficiency with word processing and spreadsheets.

Responsibilities

• Review menus and daily production worksheets for instructions.
• Prepare meals following company menus and recipes.
• Follow safe food‑handling procedures.
• Coordinate with Executive Chef to ensure supplies and staff availability.
• Serve nutritious, attractively garnished food with high culinary standards.
• Complete logs and minimize waste through creative leftovers use.
• Label, date, store, and maintain food in compliance with procedures.
• Maintain temperature logs and sanitation standards.
• Support training of new food service staff as directed by the Executive Chef.
• Oversee kitchen operation in the Executive Chef's absence.
