West Delray Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Delray Beach, FL is seeking a dedicated Cook to join our Food Services Department. You will prepare nutritious meals per planned menus, dietary orders, and facility standards, ensuring quality and resident satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Ability to cook a variety of foods in large quantities.
• Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and safety standards.
• Able to understand English and make independent decisions when needed.
• Willing to learn and adopt new food preparation methods.
• Must meet facility health requirements, including possible physical examination.
• Ability to lift 5 and 35 pounds as needed.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook meals according to planned menus, recipes, and dietary needs.
• Ensure meals are appealing, properly portioned, and served on time.
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and infection control procedures.
• Coordinate with dietitian and nursing staff for diet changes and special requests.
• Assist with meal service, substitutes, snacks, and special event meals.
• Maintain cleanliness and proper organization of kitchen, equipment, and storage areas.
• Complete required reports and communicate concerns to the Food Services Director.
• Adhere to HIPAA and all facility policies.
