Arvum Senior Living in Des Moines, IA is seeking a dedicated Housekeeper to maintain apartment homes, common areas and facilities in a senior living community.

Responsibilities include cleaning, sanitizing, laundry distribution, and reporting repairs. The role requires high school diploma, good communication, and a willingness to work with residents. We offer paid training, flexible schedules and benefits for eligible full-time staff.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous housekeeping experience preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively in the residents' primary language.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules and manuals.
• Interest in working with a senior population.

Responsibilities

• Performs cleaning duties in apartments, common areas, lounges and offices.
• Sweeps, dusts, mops, vacuums and maintains floors and carpets.
• Cleans, sanitizes and polishes fixtures; stocks dispensers as needed.
• Cleans bath/shower areas and tiles; maintains equipment and supplies.
• Cleans and redistributes community laundry; maintains laundry area clean.
• Ensures chemicals are stored securely; keeps exits clear and safe.
• Reports repairs and supply needs to Lead Housekeeper.
• Adheres to safety policies and works with residents and staff.
• Other duties as assigned.
