Job summary

Discovery Senior Living in Jacksonville, FL, is seeking a Director of Hospitality to lead front-of-house operations and partner with the Executive Chef to deliver exceptional dining experiences for residents and guests.

You will coach and develop hospitality staff, manage budgets and beverage programs, and collaborate with community teams to continuously elevate resident satisfaction. This role requires flexibility and a genuine passion for senior living hospitality.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3+ years of fine-dining experience and 2+ years of supervisory or management experience.
• Food Handling and Sanitation certification highly desired with 60 days to obtain if needed.
• Strong leadership, hospitality and relationship-building with residents.
• Excellent communication, organizational, problem-solving, and time-management skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, email, and internet-based applications.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule and lift up to 25–50 pounds with/without accommodations.

Responsibilities

• Lead front-of-house operations and hospitality strategies to create memorable dining experiences for residents and guests.
• Recruit, train, coach, schedule, and develop front-of-house team members.
• Build strong resident relationships, gather feedback, and use data to improve dining.
• Coordinate front- and back-of-house operations with the Executive Chef.
• Manage front-of-house labor budgets, inventory, beverage purchasing and performance.
• Develop beverage programs and seasonal specials; support events and banquets.
• Collaborate with the Executive Director and community teams to support hospitality goals.
• Stay current on food, beverage, and hospitality trends and elevate resident experiences.
