Job summary

The Bristal Assisted Living in New York is seeking compassionate Resident Service Assistants/Home Health Aides to provide hands-on, respectful care to residents who call our community home.

You will help residents with daily activities, accompany them to meals and activities, and support their physical, emotional, and psycho-social well-being. A CNA/HHA certification and English proficiency are preferred for this essential role.

Qualifications

• CNA/HC aide certification or equivalent preferred.
• Experience with Alzheimer's/dementia is a plus.
• Must be able to read/speak English.
• Experience with geriatric population preferred and assisting with ADLs.
• Ability to follow instructions and establish care routines.
• Demonstrates patience and professionalism with residents.
• Able to adapt to different personalities and situations positively.
• Reliable, caring, and gentle in demeanor.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs).
• Escort residents to meals and recreational activities.
• Support residents in achieving well-being—physical, emotional, and psycho-social.
• Assist in Wellness area to ensure safety and comfort.
• Follow all policies and procedures and heed Nurse Shift Supervisor and Director of Wellness.
