Job summary

Aspira Astoria Retirement Living in Port Coquitlam, BC, is seeking a General Manager to lead operations, drive occupancy, and uphold our values of positivity, accountability, community and caring. You will be the home's senior leader and key driver of resident experience.

This permanent, full-time role requires 3–5 years leadership in retirement living or hospitality, a Bachelor's degree, and legal eligibility to work in Canada; occasional weekends may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Business Administration, Hotel Management, or related field.
• 3–5 years of progressive leadership experience in retirement living or hospitality.
• Proven track record in team management, budgeting and operations.
• Experience in sales and marketing to drive occupancy.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Legally eligible to work in Canada or have valid permit.
• Able to pass Vulnerable Sector Check and Criminal Records Check.

Responsibilities

• Build a high performing management team.
• Lead managers, sales consultants, and frontline staff.
• Plan and monitor overall residence operations.
• Develop short- and long-term operating plans.
• Support occupancy, NOI and operating margin targets.
• Address resident and family concerns promptly.
• Ensure site compliance with provincial regulations.
• Foster partnerships with health providers and community groups.
