Job summary

The Ivy Mountain View, a premier senior living community operated by Oakmont Senior Living, is seeking a Maintenance Director. You will plan, organize, and direct maintenance, repair, and housekeeping of the community to ensure safe, clean, and comfortable operations.

Responsibilities include hands-on maintenance of mechanical systems, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and painting; supervising maintenance and housekeeping staff; daily grounds inspections; and ensuring compliance with safety

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Prefer two years in building/maintenance and/or housekeeping experience handling upkeep, repair, and maintenance of electrical, plumbing, and structural matters.
• Prefer one year of experience supervising and managing employees.
• Able to safely operate a wide variety of equipment and tools.
• Knowledge of assisted living and dementia care.
• Able to work with seniors and interact with cognitively impaired individuals.
• Flexible, adaptable to change, able to decide under pressure, and prioritize tasks.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate mechanical ability to work on equipment (washers/extractors, dryers, refrigeration, heating units, ice machines, minor plumbing, minor electrical).
• Perform electrical duties including troubleshooting and material procurement for repairs (lighting, switches, receptacles, resident call systems).
• Perform carpentry and painting duties for apartment remodeling; install cabinets and repair structural materials.
• Plan, organize, and direct maintenance and housekeeping operations to keep the property safe, clean, and tour-ready.
• Conduct daily inspections of outdoor grounds and promptly address items to maintain curb appeal.
