Job summary

Splendido, a life plan community located in Tucson, AZ, seeks a Building Services Technician to maintain and repair community facilities, grounds, and systems. The role covers preventative maintenance, emergency response, and seasonal exterior upkeep to ensure resident safety and comfort.

Requirements include 5+ years of maintenance experience (preferably in senior living), knowledge of plumbing, refrigeration, electrical, and HVAC is a plus, plus proficiency with MS Word, Internet, and Outlook;

Qualifications

• 5+ years of maintenance experience; preferably in Senior Living.
• Working knowledge of plumbing, refrigeration, and electrical systems; knowledge of HVAC a plus.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Internet, and Outlook.
• Ability to learn work order system.

Responsibilities

• Timely completion of routine repairs, maintenance requests, and work orders throughout the community.
• Perform preventative maintenance tasks as assigned.
• Maintain the overall appearance of the property by painting common areas and apartments at turnover and as needed.
• Assist with maintenance of fire, life safety systems and equipment; respond to emergencies according to policies and procedures.
• Perform seasonal exterior maintenance including grounds clean-up, snow removal and salting, maintain light fixtures.
• Perform/Assist in unlocks, room set-ups/tear downs, receiving/delivery of packages.
• Monitor the community through regular tours to ensure safety and security of residents, guests, and staff.
• Responds to emergency situations.
• Identifies areas for improvement, proposes possible solutions, and participates in data collection and process changes as part of the Quality Assurance Process Improvement process.
