Job summary

Via Elegante is seeking a Maintenance Technician to keep our Tucson Foothills community running smoothly. This full-time, hands-on role completes work orders, performs routine repairs, maintains buildings and grounds, and prepares resident rooms for tours, move-ins, and move-outs.

You’ll help ensure safety, cleanliness, and regulatory compliance while collaborating with residents, families, staff, and vendors.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience in building maintenance or related field.
• Working knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, painting/drywall, carpentry, and general repairs.
• Ability to troubleshoot problems independently with limited supervision.
• Strong organizational, communication, and time-management skills.
• Ability to read and follow safety rules and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Complete maintenance work orders accurately and efficiently.
• Perform routine repairs across electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, drywall, and appliances.
• Support HVAC maintenance, roof and lighting repairs, and equipment upkeep.
• Prepare resident rooms for tours, moves, and move-outs.
• Assist with moving and setup of furniture and equipment.
• Maintain campus grounds and overall community appearance.
• Conduct safety and facility inspections and address hazards promptly.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and communicate needs.
• Assist with emergency and after-hours maintenance as scheduled.
