Job summary

The Shores, a UMC senior living community on the water in Ocean City, NJ, is looking for a Facilities Maintenance Assistant to keep our campus safe, comfortable, and running smoothly. Responsibilities include repairs across building systems, responding to requests, preventive maintenance, and documenting work orders.

Must have a high school diploma or GED and 2+ years in carpentry, electrical, and plumbing; English proficiency required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2+ years of experience in carpentry, electrical, and plumbing.
• Must read, write, speak, and understand English.

Responsibilities

• Handle day-to-day repairs across the community: building systems, minor electrical, plumbing, and carpentry
• Respond quickly to resident and staff service requests
• Perform preventive maintenance to keep equipment and mechanical systems running reliably
• Complete work orders and inspection records in the maintenance tracking system
• Track maintenance supplies and help coordinate ordering and storage
• Spot and flag safety issues to help keep the community clean and secure
