Job summary

Parkshore Senior Living in St. Louis Park, MN is seeking a hands-on Director of Facilities & Building Operations to oversee all building systems, maintenance programs, and regulatory compliance within our senior living community.

Ideal candidate has 3-5 years of commercial facilities management experience, strong HVAC/plumbing/electrical expertise, and proven leadership. You will manage capital projects, vendor relationships, and drive preventive maintenance to ensure resident safety and comfort.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3-5 years of commercial facilities management experience.
• Strong working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and life-safety systems.
• Experience with maintaining aging commercial or healthcare buildings.
• Proven leadership and team management experience.
• Ability to manage multiple projects, vendors, and priorities simultaneously.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee facility operations, maintenance programs, and building systems.
• Overseeing HVAC, plumbing, electrical, boilers, life safety systems, and building automation systems.
• Developing and executing preventative maintenance plans.
• Managing capital improvement projects and equipment replacement schedules.
• Supervising maintenance and environmental services team members.
• Coordinating and managing outside contractors and service vendors.
• Ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
• Managing departmental budgets and controlling maintenance-related expenses.
• Responding to facility emergencies and critical operational issues.
