Job summary

Glenaire in North Carolina is seeking an organized Event & Catering Coordinator to plan, coordinate, and execute events and catered functions across our Continuing Care Retirement Community.

The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, and thrives on delivering memorable experiences for residents, families, and staff. Responsibilities include managing reservations, coordinating with dining services, and supervising event staff to ensure flawless execution.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Event Management, Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
• Minimum of three years of experience in event coordination, catering, hospitality, or related field strongly preferred.
• Experience supervising staff, coordinating catered events, or managing banquet operations preferred.
• Experience in a senior living or hospitality setting is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and oversee community events, private functions, meetings, and catered gatherings from reservation to completion.
• Serve as primary contact for residents, guests, and staff regarding reservations, room availability, setup, and catering.
• Manage event scheduling, room reservations, and event details for seamless coordination.
• Prepare and execute Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) ensuring client expectations are met.
• Coordinate with Dining Services for catering requirements and timelines.
• Collaborate with Wellness and other departments to support resident programming.
• Ensure event spaces are prepared and ready prior to functions.
• Oversee post-event breakdown and storage of furnishings and equipment.
• Provide exceptional customer service to residents, families, guests, and staff.
