Qualifications

• 2 years of experience in activities direction or a related field.
• Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with residents, families, and staff.
• Ability to lift, transfer, and move residents safely and assist with activities of daily living as needed.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a comprehensive activities program that meets the diverse needs and interests of residents.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to identify resident needs and preferences, and to develop individualized activity plans.
• Plan, coordinate, and direct activities such as arts and crafts, games, exercise programs, and social events.
• Recruit and engage volunteers to assist with activities and other programs.
• Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of activities programs, making adjustments as needed to ensure high-quality care and resident satisfaction.
• Maintain accurate records and reports, including activity schedules, resident participation, and program evaluations.
• Demonstrate a commitment to resident-centered care and empathy towards residents with diverse backgrounds, needs, and abilities.
