Job summary

Discovery Senior Living is seeking a dedicated Driver to transport residents safely to activities, appointments, and community events. You will help residents feel secure and comfortable on every trip, while performing vehicle checks and assisting mobility-impaired residents as needed.

The role emphasizes punctuality, safety, and exceptional service in a caring senior living environment, with full-time or part-time scheduling options and competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record; CDL may be required based on community needs.
• Experience in a customer service or transportation role preferred; senior living experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide timely, safe, and courteous transportation for residents to and from scheduled activities and appointments.
• Conduct visual vehicle inspections at the beginning of each shift and complete required inspection checklists and reports.
• Assist residents, including those with mobility challenges, into and out of vehicles safely.
• Secure wheelchairs, scooters, and mobility devices using appropriate restraint systems during transport.
• Safely operate radios, cell phones, or other communication devices to report delays or service disruptions.
• Maintain community vehicles in clean, safe, and good operating condition.
• Follow assigned routes and schedules while adjusting as needed to ensure resident safety and service quality.
