Discovery Management Group – a premier senior living organization – is seeking a Driver in Brooklyn, NY to provide safe, reliable transportation for residents to activities, appointments, and community outings. You will perform vehicle inspections and assist residents with mobility, ensuring comfort and safety on every trip.

This full-time role requires a high school diploma, a valid driver's license, and the ability to meet DOT/state requirements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record; CDL may be required based on community needs.
• Previous experience in a customer service or transportation role preferred; senior living experience a plus.
• Strong knowledge of safety procedures and ability to remain calm in emergency situations.

Responsabilités

• Provide timely, safe, and courteous transportation for residents to and from scheduled activities and appointments.
• Conduct visual vehicle inspections at the beginning of each shift and complete required inspection checklists and reports.
• Assist residents, including those with mobility challenges, into and out of vehicles safely.
• Secure wheelchairs, scooters, and mobility devices using appropriate restraint systems during transport.
• Safely operate radios, cell phones, or communication devices to report delays or service disruptions.
• Maintain community vehicles in clean, safe, and good operating condition.
• Clean, fuel, and service vehicles as needed.
• Assist with vehicle registration and license renewal processes as required.
• Follow assigned routes and schedules while adjusting as needed to ensure resident safety and service quality.
• Comply with all safety procedures, transportation policies, and applicable regulations.
• Provide miscellaneous pick-up and delivery services as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
