Job summary

Discovery Senior Living in Missouri is seeking a dedicated Driver to provide safe and reliable transportation for residents to activities and events. The role emphasizes courteous service, safety, and comfort for seniors during trips.

Applicants should have a high school diploma or equivalent, be 21+, and hold or be eligible for a CDL with a clean driving record. Prior customer service in senior living is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be 21 years or older.
• CDL may be required with an acceptable driving record per DOT regulations.
• Experience in customer service environment, preferably in a senior living setting.
• Knowledge of safety precautions and compliance with safety measures.
• Organizational skills and ability to handle multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Provide timely and courteous transportation for residents to activities and events.
• Assist disabled passengers into and out of the vehicle.
• Secure wheelchairs to restraining devices during trips.
• Operate radio/cphone/pager to communicate with base or other vehicles.
• Maintain community vehicles in good working condition.
• Clean and service vehicles with fuel and lubricants as needed.
• Assist with vehicle registration and license renewal processes.
• Inspect and document vehicle condition monthly and per trip.
