Job summary

The Legacy Senior Communities in Dallas, TX is seeking a Director of Assisted Living/Memory Support to oversee the Assisted Living department, ensuring high-quality care and compliance with state standards. This leadership role requires AL certification or progress to it within six months, Texas nursing licensure, 2+ years in assisted living/memory care, and supervisory experience.

You will partner with families, coordinate care, and manage budgets.

Qualifications

• Assisted Living certification per state regulations or ability to obtain within 6 months.
• Texas nursing license required.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in an Assisted Living or Memory Care facility.
• Minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and coordinate all services for the Assisted Living and Memory Support departments.
• Ensure compliance with state rules and regulations and maintain high standards of care.
• Conduct admissions interviews, assess prospective residents and develop initial service plans.
• Develop and update resident service plans, reassess levels of care as needed, and coordinate with families.
• Coordinate with other departments (transportation, dining, maintenance, housekeeping) to meet resident needs.
• Participate in departmental budgeting and financial meetings; support occupancy goals.
• Collaborate with Volunteer Coordinator and Marketing to support community programs and enrollment.

Education

Assisted Living certification or progress toward within 6 months

Texas nursing license

2+ years AL/Memory Care experience

2+ years supervisory experience
