Job summary

Freedom Village Bradenton is seeking an experienced Director of Assisted Living & Memory Care to lead our AL and Memory Care neighborhoods, ensuring safe, compassionate, person-centered care.

As a visible, hands-on leader you will build strong teams, coach staff, partner with families, uphold regulatory standards, and oversee operations to sustain exceptional resident experiences across campuses.

Qualifications

• Leadership experience in senior living or healthcare settings.
• Ability to coach and develop diverse teams.
• Knowledge of assisted living regulations and compliance.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
• Capable of rapid, sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead the daily operations of Assisted Living and Memory Care.
• Maintain a strong, visible presence throughout the neighborhoods and build meaningful relationships with residents, families, and employees.
• Ensure resident care is individualized, compassionate, and consistent with each resident's needs, preferences, and service plan.
• Lead and develop a team of dedicated senior‑living professionals.
• Recruit, train, coach, recognize, and retain high‑performing employees.
• Establish clear expectations and promote a culture of accountability, teamwork, and professionalism.
• Partner with nursing and other clinical team members regarding changes in resident condition, care concerns, incidents, and resident needs.
• Oversee Memory Care services and promote person‑centered dementia care practices.
• Build positive relationships with residents and families and respond effectively to concerns.
• Ensure compliance with applicable regulations, licensing requirements, community policies, and quality standards.
• Maintain accurate documentation and ensure timely follow‑up on incidents, care concerns, and other required documentation.
• Monitor staffing, labor, supplies, and departmental expenses.
• Participate in leadership, quality improvement, survey preparation, and interdisciplinary meetings.
• Collaborate with Human Resources regarding employee relations, performance management, staffing, and employee development.
• Work closely with the Executive Director and other department leaders to support the overall success of the community.
