Job summary

MBK Senior Living in Seattle, WA, is seeking a Full-Time Dining Server to deliver high-quality dining experiences for residents. The role runs Thursday through Monday, 12 PM to 8 PM, with a starting pay of $21.30 per hour, supported by a comprehensive benefits package.

You will greet residents, take orders, maintain dining areas, ensure dietary needs are met, and collaborate with the team to provide friendly, efficient service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED), highly preferred.
• Exposure to restaurant operations or the ability to learn.
• Must be 18 years or older or have a proper work permit and authorization documentation.
• Must complete required Background clearances, health screening, and provide negative TB test results within 7 days of employment (must be within the last 6 months).
• Must have excellent communication skills, including the ability to speak, write, understand, and read English.
• Must meet and maintain all state-specific regulatory requirements, such as Food Handler Certification.

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional dining service by taking accurate food orders and serving meals to residents, family members, and guests in a professional, efficient, and courteous manner.
• Uphold a high standard of table etiquette by serving from the left, clearing dishes between courses, and resetting tables for subsequent service to ensure complete customer satisfaction.
• Engage with residents in a friendly and courteous manner, assisting with their meal and menu selections, and attending to their dining needs, as necessary or requested.
• Review and adhere to residents' dietary needs, restrictions, and preferences as outlined by the Supervisor and in their care plan.
• Track resident meal attendance and communicate with the designated team members for a safety check on absent residents.
• Create a welcoming atmosphere by ensuring all residents are properly greeted and seated, with special attention to integrating new residents.
• Deliver meals to and retrieve trays from residents’ rooms as required, for those who opt for room service.
• Ensure a clean, sanitary dining area, including tables, chairs, and serving stations, and fully comply with all food safety handling and service protocols.
• Maintain and restock dining supplies and assist with stocking and deliveries as needed.
• Assist in breaking down deliveries, putting away stock, washing dishes, and supporting overall dining services.
