Job summary

Claiborne Senior Living in Baton Rouge is seeking an experienced Culinary Services Director to lead dining operations for our residents. This hands-on leadership role focuses on delivering high-quality, nutritious meals in a clean, safe, and welcoming dining environment.

The ideal candidate will own outcomes, uphold integrity, and champion quality and consistency in our culture. You’ll mentor a culinary team and collaborate with clinical, operations, and activities teams to enhance resident life.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of management experience in food service, hospitality, senior living, or healthcare.
• Proven ability to lead teams and deliver excellent customer service.
• Knowledge of nutritional guidelines, special diets, and food service best practices.
• Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
• Will need ServSafe certification (or willingness to obtain within 90 days of hire).

Responsibilities

• Oversee all dining services operations, including food quality, service, sanitation, and safety.
• Develop and implement menus that meet residents’ nutritional needs, preferences, and special diets.
• Ensure compliance with all state and federal food service, sanitation, and safety regulations.
• Recruit, train, schedule, and supervise dining services team members.
• Manage food and supply inventory while adhering to budget guidelines.
• Maintain clean, organized, and welcoming dining areas and kitchen spaces.
• Partner with the Activities team to plan special events and themed meals.
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, and team members to address feedback and concerns.
• Monitor resident satisfaction and implement improvements as needed.
• Drive continuous improvement in service standards, presentation, and overall dining experience.
