Job summary

Viva Senior Living seeks a Dining Services Director to oversee the dietary department for residents. You will plan menus, prepare meals, enforce health regulations, manage budgets, supervise staff, and coordinate with the Executive Director to ensure high-quality, compassionate service.

You will ensure compliance with safety, sanitation, and regulatory guidelines while supporting resident rights and a caring environment.

Qualifications

• Must possess, at a minimum, a high school diploma or a GED.
• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Must adhere to Viva Senior Living’s attendance policies and follow the terms and conditions of employment as set forth in the Employee Handbook.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve nutritious meals to residents in a safe sanitary manner in accordance with Public Health Regulations and Sanitation Code.
• Prepare food for regular and therapeutic diets according to the planned menu and doctors’ orders.
• Ensure proper quantity of food is prepared and on schedule.
• Maintain costs within budgeted parameters.
• Inspect and ensure food temperatures and food safety practices are followed.
• Supervise dining department associates and schedule work assignments.
• Assist with evacuation and emergency drills, and maintain resident confidentiality.
