Job summary

The Bristal in Holtsville, NY is seeking professional, customer service oriented Waitstaff to serve meals to Residents of our luxury Independent Living Community. You will maintain a positive attitude and cooperate with colleagues to deliver a pleasurable dining experience.

Responsibilities include taking resident meal orders, ensuring table settings, and assisting in plating and portion controls. Full-time Tuesday-Saturday or Sunday-Thursday day shift; part-time options include one weekend day.

Qualifications

• Experience as a server in a restaurant or food service related industry.
• Able to function in a fast paced environment.
• Strong ability to multi-task.
• Good communication, customer service and people skills.
• Patient and able to deal with a demanding customer base.

Responsibilities

• Take resident meal orders.
• Check station tables for settings and cleanliness.
• Read the menu before service so you can assist Residents with selections.
• Assist in plating and portions of appetizers, salads, soup, beverages and desserts.
• Full Time Schedule will be Tuesday-Saturday or Sunday-Thursday day shift; Part Time hours also available.
