Job summary

The Bristal Assisted Living in New York State is hiring professional Waitstaff to serve meals to residents in a luxury Independent Living Community. You will provide excellent customer service in a cooperative team environment and maintain a pleasant dining experience for residents.

Candidates should have restaurant or food service experience, be comfortable in a fast-paced setting, and demonstrate strong communication and multitasking abilities while working with a senior population.

Qualifications

• Experience as a server/food service personnel.
• Ability to function in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong multi-tasking and organizing abilities.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Patience with a senior population; ability to be polite at all times.

Responsibilities

• Take resident meal orders.
• Check station tables for settings and cleanliness.
• Read the menu to assist residents with selections.
• Assist plating and portion control for appetizers, salads, soups, drinks and desserts.
• Full-time shifts Tue–Sat or Sun–Thu; part-time daytime shifts, with some weekend days.
