Job summary

The Bristal Assisted Living in Mount Sinai is seeking friendly, professional Waitstaff to deliver the chef-prepared dining experience that makes our luxury senior living community exceptional. You will play a key role in creating a warm, dignified atmosphere for residents during meals.

In this on-site role, you will take resident meal orders, ensure tables are properly set, help with plating and portion control, and buss tables after service.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Waiter/Waitress in a restaurant or food-service-related industry.
• Able to function in a fast-paced environment.
• Have a strong ability to multi-task.
• Possesses good communication, customer service and people skills.
• Experience working with a senior population is preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Patiently and cheerfully taking resident meal orders.
• Checking station tables for settings and cleanliness.
• Reading the menu before service so that you can knowledgeably assist the residents with their selections.
• Assisting in the plating and proper portion controls of some or all of the following: appetizers, salads, soups, beverages and desserts.
• Bussing tables at the end of the meal.
