Job summary

Covenant Living Communities and Services is seeking a Dining Services Server to provide prompt, courteous service to residents and guests in the dining room during meals. You will assist in serving, bussing, and maintaining dining areas, with opportunities to help in salad prep and special events.

The role requires a high school diploma and a current Food Handler's Permit; Servsafe training is a plus. Experience in food service and strong customer relations are valued.

Qualifications

• Must be able to communicate effectively (verbal and written) with residents and staff.
• Must be able to read and understand written instructions and follow safety practices.
• Must be cordial and congenial with residents.
• Must be dependable, detail oriented, organized, and have good follow through.
• Must have the ability to handle a variety of tasks and functions.
• Must be able to show patience and compassion to senior adults.

Responsibilities

• Assist in food preparation, hospitality duties, and meal service, including serving food, waiting tables, and bussing tables.
• Serve Breakfast, lunch and dinner to residents, guests, and staff in the Dining Room or Bistro, and bus and reset tables.
• Prepare salad bar items for lunch and desserts; assist in setting up meetings or other events with snacks and beverages.
• Follow sanitation guidelines and maintain cleanliness of prep items; comply with federal/state Senior Living requirements.
• Open and close dining rooms as needed.
