Job summary

The Dining Room Manager at Cogir Senior Living will lead daily operations in our community’s restaurant, training staff and delivering an exceptional dining experience for residents. This role focuses on staff coordination with the kitchen, accommodating special requests, resolving complaints, and maintaining sanitation standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Food Handler Card/Serve Safe or ability to obtain.
• 4+ years of full-cycle food service in upscale dining.
• 2 years supervisory/front-of-house management preferred.
• Experience in senior living is a plus.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Team player with proven leadership.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask.
• Friendly, patient, and professional demeanor.
• Availability to work weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Direct and manage all front-of-house dining room staff.
• Ensure resident satisfaction with a top-notch dining experience.
• Provide initial and ongoing training for dining room staff.
• Prepare weekly schedules and maintain budget controls.
• Monitor table assignments and seating to accommodate resident needs.
• Organize and oversee special dining events, holiday celebrations, and themed meals.
• Assist in maintaining inventory control of dining room supplies and equipment.
• Monitor all food handling procedures and service flow.
• Build strong relationships with residents and address feedback or special requests.
