Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must be compassionate towards the senior population.
• Knowledgeable of dietary techniques and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Prepares meals, desserts and snacks in accordance with the posted menu schedule; ensures that all special diets and dietary concerns are followed.
• Serves meals that are palatable and presentable.
• Keeps work area clean, organized, sanitized, and may wash pots and pans.
• Knows health code requirements for food/beverage storage and hot/cold holding temperatures and maintains documentation.
• Estimates and prepares food supplies to meet serving portions.
• Maintains a safe, clean and respectable work environment.
• Attends and participates in continuing educational programs.
