Deer Park Health and Rehab in North Carolina is seeking a reliable Dietary Cook to prepare meals, desserts and snacks per the posted menu, ensuring any special diets are followed and meals are appealing.

You will maintain a clean, organized work area, adhere to health codes for storage and temperatures, estimate supplies for serving portions, participate in ongoing education programs, and work the 5:00 AM–1:30 PM shift, Monday through Friday with every other weekend.

Formación

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Compassion toward the senior population.
• Knowledgeable of dietary techniques and procedures.

Responsabilidades

• Prepares meals, desserts and snacks per the posted menu; follows special diets.
• Serves meals that are palatable and presentable.
• Keeps work area clean, organized, sanitized; washes pots and pans as needed.
• Knows health code requirements for food storage and temperatures; maintains documentation.
• Estimates and prepares food supplies to meet serving portions.
• Maintains a safe, clean and respectful work environment; participates in educational programs.

Dietary Cook Duties and Responsibilities:

• Prepares meals, desserts and snacks in accordance with the posted menu schedule; makes sure that all special diets and dietary concerns are followed
• Serves meals that are palatable and presentable
• Responsible for keeping work area clean, organized, sanitized, may include washing pots and pans, etc
• Knows health code requirements for food and beverage storage and hot/cold holding temperatures and maintains documentation
• Estimates and prepares food supplies to meet serving portions
• Maintains a safe, clean and respectable work environment
• Attends and participates in continuing educational programs

Dietary Cook Qualifications:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Must be compassionate towards the senior population
• Knowledgeable of dietary techniques and procedures

The shift for this position is 5:00 AM-1:30 PM, M-F including every other weekend.
