Qualifications

• Possess or immediately obtain a Food Handler's Card.
• At least 1 year of experience in customer service or food service (senior-living experience preferred).
• Strong customer service, communication, and problem-solving skills; able to project a friendly and professional image.
• Be a team player who can multitask and foster collaboration across departments.
• Follow policies, handle cash, and use resources cost-effectively and safely.

Responsibilities

• Serve all meals promptly using proper portion control.
• Assist cook with food and snack prep while maintaining sanitation.
• Set up, deliver, and retrieve trays and food carts; check diet trays for accuracy.
• Perform daily cleaning and dishwashing procedures.
• Maintain a safe, clean, dry kitchen/dining environment; handle waste disposal.
• Inventory, stock, and organize all food and supplies.
• Follow all food policies and make only authorized substitutions.
• Support the Director/Dietitian in implementing changes.
