Ideal candidates have at least 1 year in customer service or food service, a Food Handler's Card, and strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

• Must possess or be able to immediately obtain a Food Handler's Card.
• At least one year of experience in a customer service or food service role; senior-living experience preferred.
• Exceptional customer service, communication, and problem-solving skills; able to project a friendly and professional image.
• Strong team player who can multitask, show initiative, and foster collaboration across departments.
• Ability to follow policies, manage cash, and handle resources cost-effectively and safely.

Responsibilities

• Serve all meals promptly using proper portion control.
• Assist the cook with food and snack preparation while maintaining sanitation.
• Set up, deliver, and retrieve trays and food carts; ensure diet trays are accurate.
• Perform daily cleaning and dishwashing procedures.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and dry kitchen/dining environment; handle waste disposal.
• Inventory, stock, and organize all food and supplies.
• Follow all food policies and make authorized substitutions.
• Support the Director/Dietitian in implementing changes.
