Job summary

Provincial Senior Living in Plano, Texas, is seeking an experienced Culinary Services Manager to lead all kitchen and dining operations within our independent senior living community. This hands-on role drives daily meal preparation, food service, and resident dining excellence.

You will oversee policy development, menu planning, quality control, staff training, vendor relations, and budget management to uphold the highest standards of safety, service, and hospitality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Associates degree in culinary arts program preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of management experience in a food service environment.
• Must have successfully completed food safety training.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement food service policies, procedures, and job descriptions.
• Plan menus and cycles based on resident preferences, cultural needs, and dietary guidelines.
• Monitor food quality, temperature, portion control, and presentation standards.
• Observe and support staff in food preparation, portioning, and service execution.
• Prepare meals, cook, and assist with daily kitchen operations as needed.
• Order food and chemical supplies; receive and verify deliveries.
• Maintain food inventory and conduct monthly audits.
• Conduct regular quality assurance checks.
• Ensure safe and sanitary food handling practices.
• Follow all safety and loss prevention procedures.
• Manage vendor relationships and food service agreements.
• Support scheduling, onboarding, and training of kitchen staff.
• Monitor monthly expenditures and manage budget performance.
