Job summary

Kingswood Reserve is seeking an experienced Cook to join our culinary team and provide nutritious, high-quality meals to residents. You will prepare meals according to menus and dietary needs, serve them with attention to portion control and presentation, and maintain a clean, sanitary kitchen.

In this role, you will collaborate with the Dietary Manager and kitchen staff, assist in training, manage inventory, and respond to residents' dietary requests to ensure satisfaction and comfort for those

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (required).
• Previous cooking experience in a senior living, healthcare, or restaurant setting (preferred).
• Knowledge of food safety standards and regulations.
• Ability to follow recipes and meal plans.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Compassion for and a desire to work with the elderly.

Responsibilities

• Food Preparation: Prepare and cook meals according to menu plans, ensuring nutritious, appealing meals.
• Meal Service: Serve meals timely with high quality, proper portions and presentation.
• Kitchen Maintenance: Keep kitchen clean, organized, and sanitary per procedures.
• Team Collaboration: Work with Dietary Manager and staff; assist training as needed.
• Inventory Control: Monitor supplies and report shortages to Dietary Manager.
• Resident Engagement: Accommodate dietary requests and resident preferences.
