Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous cooking experience in senior living, healthcare, or restaurant setting preferred.
• Knowledge of food safety standards and regulations.

• Compassion for and a desire to work with the elderly.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook meals according to menu plans, ensuring nutrition and dietary requirements are met.
• Serve meals in a timely manner with quality, portion control, and presentation.
• Maintain a clean, sanitary kitchen and proper storage of supplies.
• Collaborate with Dietary Manager and kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations and training for new staff.
• Assist with inventory management and report shortages or needs.
• Respond to special dietary requests and accommodate residents’ preferences.
• Adhere to health and safety regulations and proper sanitation practices.
