Job summary

New Hanover House is seeking an experienced cook to join our culinary team and prepare nutritious meals for residents in a senior living setting. You will follow menu plans, ensure quality and presentation, and support kitchen operations in a sanitary environment.

Responsibilities include coordinating with the Dietary Manager, managing inventory, and accommodating dietary requests while adhering to health and safety standards.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook meals according to menu plans ensuring nutritional value and resident preferences.
• Serve meals in a timely manner with attention to portion and presentation.
• Maintain a clean, sanitary kitchen following safety procedures.
• Collaborate with Dietary Manager and kitchen staff and assist training of new staff.
• Assist with inventory management and report shortages or needs.
• Respond to special dietary requests and adapt meals accordingly.
• Adhere to health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
