Job summary

Vista Pointe at Mira Loma is seeking a Cook to provide wholesome, nutritious meals in a senior living community. You will prepare, portion and present high-quality dishes, monitor temperatures, label and store foods, and help maintain a clean and safe kitchen.

The role reports to the Dining Services Director and requires teamwork in a supportive environment. Minimum two years cooking experience preferred in healthcare or hospitality, HS diploma or GED, and Serv-Safe certification preferred.

Qualifications

• Must have strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Must read, write, and speak English.
• Two years cooking experience preferred in healthcare or hospitality.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve food using high-quality ingredients and garnishes.
• Record and monitor food temperatures during storage, preparation, cooking and serving.
• Label, date, and store all foods properly and monitor inventory.
• Maintain clean, sanitary kitchen and equipment; follow safety procedures.
• Work as part of a team to support a pleasant, efficient work environment.
