Vista Senior Living Management seeks a reliable Cook for Charleston House Assisted Living in Wisconsin. You will set up stations, prepare ingredients, cook meals, and ensure a sanitary kitchen to support resident care.

Experience serving 80+ residents and teamwork, communication, and stamina are essential. A high school diploma is required; culinary training or diploma is a plus. Schedule rotates with 11:00 AM – 7:00 PM shifts.

Qualifications

• Experience cooking for 80+ residents/guests or large groups.
• Healthcare setting experience preferred.
• Experience with cutting tools, cookware and bakeware.
• Knowledge of grilling, baking, boiling, and other cooking methods.
• Ability to follow sanitation procedures.
• Ability to work well in a team and communicate effectively.

Responsabilités

• Set up workstations with ingredients and equipment.
• Prepare ingredients (chopping, peeling, etc.).
• Cook food using various utensils or grills.
• Check food during cooking and stir/turn as needed.
• Present dishes attractively before serving.
• Maintain a sanitized and orderly kitchen.
• Store food and other items properly.
• Check quality of ingredients.
• Monitor stock and place orders when shortages occur.

Position: Cook

Schedule

• Week 1: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday
• Week 2: Sunday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday
• 11:00 AM - 7:00 PM

We are looking for a positive and reliable Cook who understands how important his/her work is to providing quality care for residents.

Responsibilities

• Set up workstations with all needed ingredients and cooking equipment
• Prepare ingredients to use in cooking (chopping and peeling vegetables, cutting meat etc.)
• Cook food in various utensils or grillers
• Check food while cooking to stir or turn
• Ensure great presentation by dressing dishes before they are served
• Keep a sanitized and orderly environment in the kitchen
• Ensure all food and other items are stored properly
• Check quality of ingredients
• Monitor stock and place orders when there are shortages

Qualifications

• Experience preparing meals for large groups (80+ residents/guests)
• Prior experience in a healthcare preferred
• Experience in using cutting tools, cookware and bakeware
• Knowledge of various cooking procedures and methods (grilling, baking, boiling etc.)
• Ability to follow all sanitation procedures
• Ability to work in a team
• Very good communication skills
• Excellent physical condition and stamina
• High school diploma or equivalent; Diploma from a culinary background will be an advantage
