Job summary

The Residence at Glastonbury, operated by LCB Senior Living, is seeking full-time Cooks in Glastonbury, CT. The role offers a competitive hourly wage of $22.00–$24.50 depending on experience, with full-time benefits from day one.

Responsibilities include maintaining a restaurant-style dining atmosphere, collaborating with the Culinary Services Director, supervising kitchen staff, and ensuring safe food handling and proper storage.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• 1-3 years of cook experience in hospitality or healthcare setting.
• Serve Safe Certification.
• Able to read and follow recipes and printed production guides, cleaning schedules, and logs.

Responsibilities

• Provide a high level of customer service and promote a restaurant style dining atmosphere.
• Work with Culinary Services Director and/or Executive Director to satisfy residents' dining needs.
• Assist with supervision of culinary staff.
• Prepare and execute dining enhancement programs.
• Maintain kitchen and food storage areas in a clean, safe, and sanitary condition.
• Open and/or close the kitchen and adhere to cleaning schedules.
• Ensure food is received, stored and prepared per company standards.
• Estimate daily/weekly food and supply needs and communicate with food service director.
