Job summary

Cogir Senior Living is seeking a skilled Cook to join our community kitchen, preparing fresh meals for residents, families, and guests. You will collaborate with the culinary director to deliver varied, from-scratch dishes, using seasonal, local ingredients.

The ideal candidate brings at least 1 year of kitchen experience, knowledge of dietary restrictions for seniors, and the ability to work flexible shifts including weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; Culinary School is a plus.
• Food Handler Card with understanding of kitchen sanitation and food codes.
• Experience in full-service kitchen environments and cooking from scratch.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook meals following established menus, recipes, dietary, and sanitary guidelines.
• Set up and break down work areas in a timely fashion.
• Keep all stations clean and sanitized; assist in all kitchen operations.
