Dial is seeking a Cook to independently prepare meals for residents and support kitchen operations. You will ensure high quality food with proper safety standards and assist in menu planning and inventory management.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years of cooking experience in senior living, healthcare, or restaurant settings, with strong knowledge of food safety and equipment operation. This is a hands-on role in a facility setting.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• 2+ years of cooking experience in senior living, healthcare, or restaurant setting.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook a variety of meals for residents with attention to quality and presentation.
• Alter or adapt recipes to accommodate special dining needs of residents or to improve recipes.
• Ensure attractive presentation of food on the plate before serving.
• Identify food and supplies needed for the next week’s menus and report to the supervisor.
• Participate in new menu and special menu planning.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of work area and kitchen/storage areas.
• Ensure proper handling, labeling and storage of food for infection control.
• Prepare meats for storage and portion control upon delivery.
