Job summary

Adaptive Senior Living is seeking a Cook for our Manchester, VT kitchen. You will prepare breakfast, lunch, and dinner from our menus, using fresh ingredients and house-made recipes.

Full-time and part-time shifts are available, with weekend/holiday availability expected in a compassionate, resident-centered environment. Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, 2+ years of cooking experience in senior living or related settings, and ServSafe or the ability to earn it within 90 days.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of cooking experience in senior living, healthcare, hospitality, or restaurants.
• Availability for some weekends and holidays.
• Culinary training is a bonus, not required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare breakfast, lunch, and dinner from our menus and recipes.
• Portion and plate every meal so it looks as good as it tastes.
• Cook with fresh, seasonal ingredients, and store and rotate them properly.
• Help create new dishes and bring resident feedback into the menu.
• Keep your station clean, safe, and ready for inspection.
• Pitch in on prep, cleanup, stocking, and inventory.
• Help make special events and themed meals memorable.
