Job summary

Cogir Senior Living in Scottsdale, AZ, is seeking a friendly Cook to join our community restaurant team. You will prepare fresh, nutritious meals for residents, families, and guests, working closely with the culinary director to create varied menus using local ingredients and seasonal specials.

The ideal candidate has at least one year of kitchen experience, knowledge of recipes and dietary needs for seniors, and a Food Handler Card.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Culinary School or equivalent education/experience.
• Food Handler Card and kitchen sanitation knowledge.
• At least 1 year of experience in a full-service kitchen with from-scratch cooking.
• Ability to read and execute a recipe.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook meals following menus, recipes, and dietary guidelines.
• Set up and break down work stations and keep areas sanitized.
• Collaborate with dining services to ensure timely meal service.
• Check and restock foods for proper service.
• Adhere to health and safety regulations.
• Participate in training and maintain food handling certifications.
• Support kitchen operations as needed.
