Job summary

Cogir Senior Living seeks a dedicated Cook for our community restaurant in Scottsdale, AZ. You will prepare fresh, nutritious meals for residents, families, and guests, following seasonal menus and a from-scratch approach using fresh local ingredients.

The ideal candidate has at least one year of full-service kitchen experience, can read recipes, understands senior dietary needs, and works well with the culinary director. Flexible shifts including weekends/holidays required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Culinary School is a plus or practical equivalent.
• Food Handler Card with kitchen sanitation knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Be part of a compassionate, high-performing team delivering top-level results.
• Prepare and cook meals following menus, recipes, dietary and sanitary guidelines.
• Set up and break down work areas promptly.
• Keep stations clean and sanitized.
• Collaborate with dining services to ensure timely service.
• Check and restock foods to ensure proper service.
• Adhere to health and safety regulations.
• Participate in training sessions including food handling and safety.
• Ensure safe storage of cleaning supplies and chemicals.
• Assist in all kitchen operations as needed.
