Job summary

The Cook is the heart of MBK Senior Living’s kitchen, providing delicious and healthy meals that delight residents. The Cook is responsible for properly preparing all food items in accordance with recipes and planned menus, ensuring every dish is high-quality and flavorful.

The role oversees the Dining Services Department under the direction of the Executive Chef, positively impacting residents’ lives daily by contributing to their well-being and comfort within our community.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of cooking experience in a kitchen.
• Knowledge of HACCP and food safety standards.
• Ability to follow recipes and menus accurately.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Must be 18 years or older.

Responsibilities

• Prepare all food items per menus and recipes to high quality and nutrition.
• Maintain proper portion sizes, plating, and presentation.
• Ensure compliance with health, sanitation, and safety regulations.
• Keep workstation clean and organized; report maintenance issues.
• Interact professionally with residents, guests, and staff.
• Assist with menu changes and substitutions.
• Operate kitchen equipment safely and record temperatures.
• Support Director of Dining Services and Executive Chef.
