Job summary

Sunrise Senior Living in McLean, VA is seeking a Cook who will prepare meals according to standardized recipes and menus while ensuring quality, taste, and presentation.

The role requires following dietary modifications, recording production quantities and temperatures, and maintaining a clean, safe kitchen. You will also support dishwashing and dining service, and step in to lead food production when the Dining Services Coordinator is absent.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve meals according to standardized recipes and menus
• Ensure food quality, taste, and presentation meet Sunrise standards
• Follow dietary modifications and special meal requirements
• Record production quantities and food safety temperatures
• Stock, rotate, date, and store food per safety regulations
• Maintain clean kitchen, storage, and equipment areas
• Complete cleaning logs and equipment maintenance reports
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and OSHA guidelines
• Support dishwashing and dining service as needed
• Lead food production in the absence of the Dining Services Coordinator
