Job summary

TerraBella Senior Living, Newton, NC, is looking for a Care/Medication Technician to support residents with daily living activities and medication administration in a hands-on, compassionate role. The position involves completing med passes, monitoring residents, and ensuring a safe, home-like environment on shift.

Ideal candidates will have NC med tech certification or CNA background, along with high school diploma and CPR/First Aid readiness. Prior senior care experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Certified Nurse’s Aide certification preferred.
• Certificate for med tech for North Carolina
• High School diploma/GED required
• Must be 18 years of age.
• CPR Certification preferred
• First Aid Certification preferred
• Previous experience working with seniors preferred.

Responsibilities

• Care Giver: supervise a designated group of residents, check on them, report changes.
• Observe, document symptoms and conditions, monitor skin, weight, activity.
• Answer call bells promptly; notify supervisor of increased care needs.
• Assist with continence management and sanitation of rooms.
• Serve and collect food trays; report refusals or loss of meals.
• Maintain cleanliness of rooms and work areas; promote independence and safety.
• Assist with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, toileting, etc.).
• Engage residents in life skills and enrichment activities.
• Greet and assist customers, family members, residents, vendors and team members.
• Handle resident laundry as assigned.
