Job summary

Harmony Senior Services is seeking a Resident Assistant/Personal Care Aide (PCA) to provide quality care and assistance with activities of daily living for residents in our community.

You will report incidents, assist with daily tasks, and participate in activity planning while ensuring confidentiality and safety. A High School Diploma or GED and PCA program completion are required, with CPR/First Aid certification encouraged.

Qualifications

• Must have a High School Diploma or GED.
• Must have completed an approved personal care aide program per state regulations as applicable.
• Must be able to communicate verbally and in writing.
• Must be organized and able to work well with all levels of personnel.

Responsibilities

• Reports incidents involving residents to include care concerns or issues to appropriate individuals.
• Assists residents with activities of daily living.
• Performs housekeeping duties in resident areas and common spaces as directed by supervisor.
• Responds promptly to all resident calls for assistance or emergency alerts.
• Maintains composure and effectiveness during emergencies.
• Assists in planning and conducting activity programs for residents.
• Follows confidentiality policies regarding release of resident information.
• Assists residents to and from dining room and activities; checks attendance at meals and activities.
• Monitors resident status and reports concerns; communicates status to the care team.
• Assists new residents with move-in transition and provides emotional support.
