Job summary

United Methodist Communities seeks a Maintenance Technician at Bristol Glen in Newton, NJ. The role involves maintaining a 74-acre senior living campus, handling HVAC, plumbing, electrical tasks, and building repairs to keep residents safe and comfortable.

You will respond to service requests, perform preventive maintenance, document work, and manage supplies. The position offers full benefits and a schedule Monday–Friday with occasional weekend rotation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2 years of hands-on experience in carpentry, electrical, and plumbing.
• HVAC and boiler troubleshooting experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repairs on HVAC systems, boilers, plumbing, electrical components, and building fixtures throughout resident apartments and common spaces.
• Respond to service requests from residents and team members, troubleshoot and resolve maintenance issues.
• Carry out preventive maintenance to ensure equipment reliability, safety, and peak performance.
• Document completed work, labor hours, and materials used in the maintenance system.
• Maintain accurate records of inspections, repairs, and ongoing projects.
• Assist with inventory management by monitoring and organizing supplies, tools, and equipment.
